Oh and call me for a fabric store fix! I LOVE them :-)

Sue

My message must have disappeared into cyberspace. I was dragged around to fabric stores by my grandmother and hated it. She had to touch the fabric and hold it in different lights and it was boring.

Now I could live in a fabric store. I have to touch the fabric- all of it- twice and look at it in different lights and pour over patterns.

Keep taking her, it'll pay off someday.

I've never been able to make those rolly hem thingies work, but I did read a tutorial that had a very simple suggestion. Begin by pressing a 6mm fold for about 30cm down the length of fabric where you want the hem. Feed that pre-folded piece into the foot and hand turn the wheel on your machine until you have at least three stitches into the fabric. After that it will supposedly just work.

I haven't tried it myself as I threw that foot away in frustration years ago, but maybe you can have some luck with it!
